The weekend of July 29th and 30th, the mission appeal will be taken for Franciscan Capuchins of Mary Queen of the Peace province, Tamil Nadu, India. Rev. Kabiriyal Arulanandam OFM Cap., (Father Kabiriyal) will be here to do the mission appeal.
The Franciscan Capuchins work in 106 countries bearing witness to Christ after the model of St. Francis of Assisi. They are a mendicant Order involved in evangelizing and serving the Ordinary and the less privileged. The Capuchins work as pastors, taking care of the spiritual needs of the faithful in 12 parishes in Tamil Nadu, India. They also undertake regular preaching and confession ministry in varied dioceses across India. Along with spiritual care, they run care-centres for mentally challenged men who are abandoned, orphan children, and addicted men. They serve in enhancing mental well-being, guided by the motto that there is no health without mental health. Dear Brothers and Sisters, we request your collaboration and supportive hand in the mission of the Capuchin Fathers. We thank you in advance for your goodness and generosity in reaching out to the less privileged in a faraway country. May the Good Lord bless you all.
