Sharing the story of THREE babies LIVES who were scheduled to die! (Sacramento PP). The news is from Brenda Vlaovich who had the interaction. This story reminds us that "The battle is so real outside PP." We are literally praying and advocating for the lives of the unborn children, and for the wellness of the parents of the child. For those we save, there are many who are not. Let us continue to assault heaven with our prayers and speak with compassion and urgency about the lives that are at stake.
First saved baby: 14 weeks.
Momma R stopped to take my information and stated she was not pregnant. We spoke briefly. I shared info with her and told her I was there offering help, especially for those who are pregnant. She shared that she had stayed at a local maternity home when pregnant 13 years ago. She drove in and my attention went elsewhere. I did not realize she never got out of her car but sat there reading the information I had given her. Moments later, she asked to talk with me, and with tears in her eyes, she confessed that she had lied to me. “I am pregnant. I am hear for an abortion but I cannot go thru with this. I’ve been reading this information. My boyfriend is forcing me to get an abortion, but I will not.”
She requested I speak to her boyfriend over the phone. Thankfully, our sidewalk outreach team includes a faithful young man who made the call. We prayed for her and he offered her words of encouragement regarding her boyfriend.

Second saved baby: 16 weeks.
Mom arrives and stops at the driveway to receive our information. She’s says she’s 16 weeks pregnant. She was there to begin her two day abortion procedure. Tests, ultrasound, and dilation. Truth about abortion was shared with her. She was offered help from us and also medical help from the local pregnancy center. She gladly shared her number to allow follow up. The local pregnancy center was called and they took her right in. The next day, we followed up with her and her response was, “I’d love to talk with you and appreciate your kindness. I think it’s amazing what you do. I am so grateful for how yesterday turned out.”
This mom has accepted the help of a mentor and is continuing with medical care through the local pregnancy center. (time of day: 2:40)
Third saved baby: age unknown
Parents of a teen child arrive with a teen couple. As they arrive the father of the teen is open to hearing what we have to say but the mother and young couple continue to walk inside. The dad (grandpa of baby) takes our information and listens as we share. He says to us, “I’ll be right back.” He went in and out a couple of times. Each time he came out, we called out to him to save his grandchild. They all eventually walked out and he confirmed they chose life! Praise God for this bold dad who stood up and defended the life of his grandchild!
He has our number and said he’d reach out if they needed help. (time of day: 3:15)
A shout out to all those who give of themselves to this ministry of prayer, witness and advocacy. As I read the stories it made me ask, how are we prepared to support, to walk side by side with these families. If you are part of your parish Gabriel Project ministry, thank you. Where they do not exist, please call our office and speak with Marisela Franco who can help you establish one. [email protected]
The battle continues. Although, we are nearing the end of the 40-Days Fall campaign, this effort needs to continue each day, because PP is there and open and willing to do what they do to innocent life.
